Melanie Gonzalez

Melanie is one of our amazing facilitators and has been an incredible addition to the Firecircle Ignite team after joining us in January 2023. Melanie has been a huge support to all of us here at Firecircle and to our participants.

Melanie enjoys sports, languages, nature, travelling, walking with friends and spending time with family. Although she spent a few years living in Scotland, she was born and raised in Manitoba, where she currently lives. While living in Scotland, Melanie worked at a training center that trained young people to work abroad, offering humanitarian aid, amongst other things. She has travelled to over 20 countries and is trilingual (Spanish, French, English).

Much of her past work experience has been supporting new immigrants and refugees as they adjust to their new life in Canada. In addition to this, she’s worked as an office manager, volunteer coordinator, soccer coach, team leader and program coordinator. When she’s not facilitating with the Firecircle, she’s working with a not-for-profit organization in Human Resources.

Melanie is administrative and loves connecting with people. She always enjoys a good laugh. She’s married and has three kids (aged 12, 10 and 7). She spends much of her free time watching her kids play sports and spending time with family. She holds a Bachelor of Arts major in International Development and minor in Business and Organizational Administration.

We have loved having Melanie a part of the Firecircle team, she is incredibly kind, considerate and is excited to assist in any way she can.
